Oak Lawn Police Department Club

The Oak Lawn Police Department Club is a non-profit association chartered in 1944 to promote the efficiency and skill of the Oak Lawn police officers, to more effectively combat crime, and to aid in the enforcement of juvenile, traffic, and criminal law. We have continued to support these goals for the past years, thereby promoting safe neighborhoods for Oak Lawn families and secure work environments for Oak Lawn businesses.

The OLPD Club has raised funds over the years in order to give support to various Oak Lawn organizations. We give financial assistance annually to Oak Lawn Baseball, The Oak Lawn Seniors, The American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Hope Hospital .

We have purchased weight equipment for physical training of the police officers and have furnished one of the department's K-9 vehicles. We support the D.A.R.E. and EDGE programs and the Child Safety Seat program. We conduct a yearly award ceremony to honor police officers and other police personnel for outstanding performance of duty, presenting the John Murdoch Memorial Award to the "Officer of the Year"
